Tudor Pull: 23 April 2017

The cutter crew were in action again on Sunday 23 April when they took part in the Tudor Pull which is rowed from Hampton Court Palace to the Tower of London.   The motley crew (their own words) pulled hard over the 23 mile course under the 20 bridges between Richmond and Tower Bridge, despite adverse circumstances which led to a member of the crew diving into the freezing waters to free the cutter from an obstruction before the start.  Luckily a warm day and hard row warmed both bodies and spirits, and no harm was done.  London was glorious and the Gloriana resplendent as the flotilla of traditional rowing craft accompanied her in balmy sunshine on the 2017 London Marathon day. The crew capped the day with ale at the Dickens Inn.
