Clinical Nursing Scholarship

To assist with fees or subsistence of a nurse in, or planning to return to, clinical practice undertaking a Masters or PhD programme relevant to nursing/midwifery.
Applications through the School of Health Sciences, University of East Anglia.

Medical Artists’ Association

An annual bursary towards the cost of studies for members of the Medical Artists’ Association.
Applications through the Director of Education, Medical Artists’ Education Trust.

Medical Electives

To assist with costs associated with medical students undertaking medical electives.
Applications through the British Medical and Dental Students’ Trust, via the Royal Society of Medicine.

McNee Awards

Made to mature medical students studying medicine as a 2nd degree, primarily at London teaching hospitals, whilst undertaking the clinical phase of studies.
Applications through BMA Charities. Enquiries in the first instance to: m.flint@bmacharities.org.uk. Application packs available from 1 November to mid-January.

Applications will also be accepted from those studying on Physician Associate courses, primarily at London teaching hospitals. Apply in the first instance via the Barbers’ Company.

Plaster Technicians’ Casting Training

To assist with fees or subsistence of individuals undertaking the British Orthopaedic Association Plaster Technicians Casting Course.

Raven Bequest

To assist with travelling costs for surgeons undertaking specialist overseas training/familiarization OR costs for education projects by members of the Medical Artists’ Association.
Applications through the Royal College of Surgeons OR Medical Artists’ Education Trust.

Sir Francis Avery Jones Award

To assist medical or surgical trainees in London Teaching Hospitals engaged in research in the field of gastro-enterology. The Award is administered by the British Society of Gastroenterology.
